Tips for growing your hair that work like a charm

If you are wanting to grow your hair out but you don’t know where to start, I feel your pain. I have been trying to grow mine out for the last 2 years after I cut it shorter than I actually wanted it to be. Growing your hair is all about science. It is that simply. You don’t have to go and have a sewn in extensions or a weave put in to get long hair. The tips below helped me to grow my hair 3 inches in the last 4 months.

Eating plenty of Protein

My stylist recommended eating plenty of protein. You won’t end up looking like a body builder, but your hair will look amazing. Your hair is made up of protein, so if you are skimping in the protein, your collagen production will slow down which stunts your hair growth. You may even notice that you shed a few pounds as well because protein satisfies you more than carbs or fat.

Biotin Supplements work

I don’t recommend people to take supplements unless needed, but biotin is the exception to this, if you are wanting long hair. Plus, it is great for your nails and skin as well. It is a B vitamin, so you can’t have too much of it. Biotin strengthens your hair and it helps to boost collagen production which prevents the breakdown of your proteins.

Massage that scalp

Stimulating your hair follicles is important, so give yourself a scalp massage or if you are like me, con your partner into doing it for you at least 3 times a week for around 15 minutes, and you will really begin to see some great results.

These have worked for me but there is a lot of ways to really boost that hair growth out there. Do your research, and find what works for you.
